Somethings may never change

But you and I aren't the same

I didn't tell you to hold on to those memories

I didn't tell you to relive them once more

It lasted a long time, just maybe too long

It lasted a lifetime, and I'm glad it's done.

No hate, no shame, no game, regain

I'm not telling you to plan revenge

I'm not saying that, we were just friends

We sang along to the song

We talked and laughed all night long

But our time came, nothing seemed to change

But you did, so I'm telling you I'm not the same.

This poem/song, I was inspired by an old friendship.

"Even though it is fun to have a long time friend, some times things change and you just gotta let go."
